Kanye West Breaks Michael Jackson's Record of Most Top 40 Hits
Kanye West Reaches the top 10 Top 40 hits club, beating Michael Jackson 39 hits record.
Kanye West once again makes history as he joins the Top 10 Most top 40 Hits. Michael Jackson and Frankie Valli both had 39 Top 40 hits respectively. West broke through that number when helping School Boy Q get a Top 40 Hit on his new song "That Part" where Kanye West was featured on the track. That Part was at number 42 until this weeks billboard chart release, where it became the top 40'th record in the country.
Kanye West is now just one song away from tying Marvin Gaye (41 Top 40 Hits). Chris Brown has 42, whereas James Brown brought in 44 and Jay-Z reaching 45 Top 40 hit records. Elvis Presley is leading everyone with 80 Top 40 Hits and is followed by Lil Wayne with 69, Elton John with 57, Drake with 53 and Stevie Wonder with 46. So Kanye just needs to beat 6 more people to become part of the Top 5 Top 40 Hits club.
Troy Ave is Suing Irving Plaza & Live Nation
Troy Ave releases statement at press conference and will file a lawsuit against Irving Plaza and Live Nation.
Today Troy Ave and his Lawyers went to Irving Plaza for their 12:30 PM Est. Press Conference for the shooting that happened back on May 25 at the T.I. concert where Troy Ave was shot and his friend/body guard, Ronald McPhatter was shot and killed.
Today at 12:30 PM Troy Ave and his lawyers released their statement that they have already filed a lawsuit against Irving Plaza and Live Nation for allowing guns inside the venue.
"[If it weren't] for their actions Troy never would have been shot, and none of the incidents that took place that night would have happened," Leemon said.
His lawyers go on to say that the lack of security for the event was the reason for the incident, saying they could have prevented this is they had proper security procedures, such as metal detectors, pat down and wand procedures.
Troy Ave has been released from jail since July 11, after a $500,000 bond was put in place. He is required to wear a tracking device as part of the his bond release. As of now he is not allowed to go into any bar, nightclub, or performance venues throughout his trial.
Hip Hop Icon Snoop Dogg and Lifestyle Icon Martha Stewart to join forces in the kitchen this fall
Martha Stewart and SNoop Dogg to co-host new VH1 show.
The two will co-host "Martha and Snoop's Dinner Party," a VH1 cooking show that will feature the two stars preparing a meal for their celebrity friends, the network announced on its website Monday.
"My homegirl Martha and I have a special bond that goes back. We're gonna be cooking, drinking and having a good time with our exclusive friends. Can't wait for you to see how we roll together!" Snoop told VH1.com.
Stewart said the show will "exemplify" the country's fascination with dining, celebrity and entertainment.
"I can't wait to get snoop in the kitchen," she said on a promo teasing the show that aired on ABC's 'Good Morning America.'
"Our new show is rizzle, dizzle for shizzle," she added, imitating the West Coast slang popularized by Snoop.
This will not be the first collaboration between Stewart and Snoop -- real name Cordozar Calvin Broadus, Jr.
Their on screen connection goes back to at least 2008, when they made multiple dishes including mashed potatoes and holiday brownies on an episode of "Martha Stewart Living." They later sat next to each other at the Comedy Central roast of Justin Bieber in 2015, and appeared together on ABC's "$100,000 Pyramid" game show earlier this summer.

Lawyers of Troy Ave to Host Press Conference at Irving Plaza Today
Lawyers of Troy Ave scheduled for a Press Conference Today at 12:30 PM to address incident at T.I.'s concert inside of Irving Plaza that left his friend and security guard Ronald "Banga" McPhatter dead.
Troy Ave's lawyers will be hosting a press conference later today in regards to a deadly shooting that happened inside of Irving Plaza in New York during T.I.'s concert on May 25.
During TI's concert in NY, backstage a feud happened that involved rapper Troy Ave and left his friend and security guard dead at the scene.
Sources say that Troy Ave confronted Taxstone (Internet Radio Podcaster) about certain comments that he made on his show that he didn't like, which escalated to a fist fight. during that altercation someone pulled a gun out and shot Troy Ave's longtime friend and security guard, Ronald "Banga" McPhatter, which he later died at the scene of the crime. At that point you can see security video footage of Troy Ave chasing someone down and shooting a few shots back.
At first many blogs stated that he shot his friend and security guard with his own gun and also shot himself in the leg. Later to find out, that those stories were false and Troy Ave did not kill his friend or shoot himself but actually was involved in a scuffle that lead to the death of his friend.
Charges against the Troy Ave in the killing of his friend were dropped but he is the only suspect and is accused of second degree attempted murder as well as four counts criminal possession of a weapon.
The press conference will begin at 12:30pm outside Irving Plaza located at 17 Irving Place, New York, NY.

Dozens of fans injured after railing collapses during Snoop Dogg and wiz Khalifa's The High Road Tour Concert in New Jersey.
On August 5th Wiz Khalifa and Snoop Dogg took to New Jersey for their "The High Road Summer Tour," at the BB&T Pavilion. During their concert they jumped onto the 2nd platform of the stage. The fans surrounding the stage were being blocked off from the stage by railings. At that point Snoop and Wiz got the crowd to scream and the next song came on. At that point the crowd got more excited and the railing (separating the crowd from Snoop Dogg and Wiz Khalifa as well as the drop between both the crowd and stage) fell taking the crowd down with it. Dozens of fans fell from the platform causing dozens of injuries. You can see in the video right when the railing collapses that security escorted both Snoop and Wiz off the stage promptly. The remainder part of the show was canceled and security safely escorted the rest of the fans as quickly as possible, so they can help treat the injured fans. Some fans left with minor cuts and bruises while other had to be transported to the hospital due to broken bones. Thankfully no one was killed. Later on, Snoop Dogg took to Instagram to send prayers out to all his fans that were injured at the concert. Check out the video below.

A few days ago the internet went crazy about there being a potential Drake diss record coming from Eminem. We all awaited that day, then the next day a sound clip of that potential diss record surfaced. Did Eminem really drop a diss record towards Drake, was Hip-Hop getting the new ultimate battle between Eminem and Drake? When played the song sounded like an Eminem song when comparing their vocals. Many sites including ours wasn't sure if that was really Eminem or not, but many stated that it sounded just like him from SSLP. Eminem hasn't responded to the diss record and neither has Drake or anyone else. Until yesterday, when an emcee by the name of Denace took to his Instagram to reveal that he's the real guy behind this new leaked song dissing Drake, Rick Ross, Selena Gomez, J. LO, Mac Miller, Tyler the Creator and more. He in fact took to Instagram to share that he recorded this song 5 years ago and he has since changed his sound. For the last year or so we all know Drake and Funk Master Flex haven't met eye to eye. Especially when after FunkMaster Flex dropped the Meek Mill's Drake diss. Just a few days ago Drake took the Madison Square Garden stage for his Summer Sixteen Tour to diss Funk Master Flex once again saying Hot 97 are tellin lies, and to FIRe funk Master Flex in order to get him to go back to the station. As quickly as word spread of what Drake said on stage in New York inside of MSG, Funk Master Flex took to twitter to let Drake know he's got a bunch of stories to tell and that Drake doesn't want to start with him. By the way, we all know Funk Master Flex isn't leaving Hot 97 anytime soon.
Now it appears, Funk Master Flex did speak about their year long beef on air.
"I got a few stories to tell tonight. I don't know which one I'm gonna tell first," Funkmaster Flex started.
"First of all, Drake, I'm not really worried about you making me lose my job,” Flex said. “70% of your fans wear high heels. The other 30% are guys who wear sandals. I'm not concerned about you."
“I don't know if you noticed, but everything is built on top 5,” he said.
Funk Master Flex then went on to say he makes great music and is a great performer, but when. it comes to being the top 5 in hip-hop, he cant say he's one of the top 5 hip-hop artists if he needs someone to help him write those songs. He then went on to discuss some of the stories he had about Drake.
The Blackberry Story:
2009, Drake showed up to Hot 97 and took out his blackberry to rehearse his freestyle. Not knowing that Drake would keep the blackberry out, but his team also wanted to videotape it to show that he does write his own bars, despite the fact that everyone would clown hi because he isn't freestyling. I guess to his team they thought it would show proof that yea he writes his own bars and can spit some dope lines, despite the fact that he can't freestyle. Maybe they realized they needed footage to show he writes hiw own rhymes just in case he got caught like he has now about writing his own music.

Pablo Alavarez goes on to break new Guinness World Record, by Freestyling for 25 Hours!
(AllHipHop News) Pablo Alvarez wanted to see his name in the Guinness World Records. In order to do that, he took on the challenge of rapping for 25 hours.
“Originally, it started as a joke,” Alvarez told Miami New Times. “It came about from me joking that I could freestyle all day.”
The member of the Miami-bred band Good Bison streamed his day-long freestyle session on Facebook Live as fans of the group gave him topics to talk about by commenting under the videos.
Guinness World Records can take up to 12 weeks to confirm a new record, but Alvarez believes the visual proof should be enough to guarantee him the crown.

According to HipHopOverload, Scott Slomann wired $13,500 to a Booking Agent to bring Tyga to theirDelta Tau Delta party in LA. Unfortunately for Scott Tyga never showed up, when Scott called the booking agent to find out what was going on there was no answer from the agent.
TMZ is reporting that the LAPD has issued a search warrant at the US bank and are investigating the incident. Slomann of Delta Tau Delta also wen to conduct his own private search hiring a private investigator who found the suspect and come to find out he's being sued for a previous scam worth around $15k
