10 Years Ago a legend came out of Miami, charting with billboards #1 Album, "Port of Miami." Rick Ross Dropped Port of Miami just a decade ago, and to celebrate it's 10 Year anniversary, he's throwing a LIVE Tidal Concert on August 29.
Rick Ross, who had the #1 Album with "Port of Miami," had hits such as "Hustlin" and "Pushing" and included artists on the album such as Akon, Young Jeezy, Jay Z and others was released on August 8, 2009.

DJ Quik Airs out YG for not crediting him for recording the platinum hit single, "My Ni**a."
Apparently DJ Quik has had enough with not being credited fro projects he has helped work on. August 8, DJ Quik aired out the problem through Twitter. Stating,
My Lawyer has You [in] His sights. You've f***ed up, and @YG be safe on the block I invented
DJ Quik was responsible for engineering the hit single, "My Ni**a aka My Hitta," but never got any credit for his engineering work. DJ Quik is a California DJ who's known to have worked on engineering and producing. Later on DJ Quik, took to twitter to write to Young Jeezy requesting that he be credited for stemming and recording vocals on the Platinum hit record, "My Ni**a."

Kanye West isn't the only one dabbing into politics, so is KOD's owner Akinyele.
Akinyele, most famous for his classic hit song, Put It in Your Mouth, as well as the owner of the world famous King of Diamonds in Miami talks about the possibility of him running for Miami Beach Mayor. He stated that it's not because the mayor is doing anything particularly wrong but because he doesn't want someone to come in after and ruin everything for the residents of Miami Beach. Kanye West Breaks Michael Jackson's Record of Most Top 40 Hits
Kanye West Reaches the top 10 Top 40 hits club, beating Michael Jackson 39 hits record.
Kanye West once again makes history as he joins the Top 10 Most top 40 Hits. Michael Jackson and Frankie Valli both had 39 Top 40 hits respectively. West broke through that number when helping School Boy Q get a Top 40 Hit on his new song "That Part" where Kanye West was featured on the track. That Part was at number 42 until this weeks billboard chart release, where it became the top 40'th record in the country.
Kanye West is now just one song away from tying Marvin Gaye (41 Top 40 Hits). Chris Brown has 42, whereas James Brown brought in 44 and Jay-Z reaching 45 Top 40 hit records. Elvis Presley is leading everyone with 80 Top 40 Hits and is followed by Lil Wayne with 69, Elton John with 57, Drake with 53 and Stevie Wonder with 46. So Kanye just needs to beat 6 more people to become part of the Top 5 Top 40 Hits club.
Troy Ave is Suing Irving Plaza & Live Nation
Troy Ave releases statement at press conference and will file a lawsuit against Irving Plaza and Live Nation.
Today Troy Ave and his Lawyers went to Irving Plaza for their 12:30 PM Est. Press Conference for the shooting that happened back on May 25 at the T.I. concert where Troy Ave was shot and his friend/body guard, Ronald McPhatter was shot and killed.
Today at 12:30 PM Troy Ave and his lawyers released their statement that they have already filed a lawsuit against Irving Plaza and Live Nation for allowing guns inside the venue.
"[If it weren't] for their actions Troy never would have been shot, and none of the incidents that took place that night would have happened," Leemon said.
His lawyers go on to say that the lack of security for the event was the reason for the incident, saying they could have prevented this is they had proper security procedures, such as metal detectors, pat down and wand procedures.
Troy Ave has been released from jail since July 11, after a $500,000 bond was put in place. He is required to wear a tracking device as part of the his bond release. As of now he is not allowed to go into any bar, nightclub, or performance venues throughout his trial.
